Portrait of Sergeant Andrew Wallace

A recently discovered painting by Neagle was purchased and donated to the American Revolution Institute's Society for the Cincinnati. In preparation for exhibtion, conservation treatment was necessary to remove the painting from a plywood support, reduce previous overpaint, and mend old tears. After treatment, the painting was in stable condition and ready for exhibition.
